HOW TO THRIVE AS A DANCE EDUCATOR
without burning out or adding more to your already full plate

Have you been wondering how...

to truly support your students’ mental health - without a counselling degree or rewriting your whole curriculum?
You’re not alone. Many passionate dance educators feel the weight of wanting to do more for their students, but aren’t sure where to start. Maybe you’ve tried mindset chats, check-ins, or team-building days… but something still feels missing. I know you care deeply - and that care deserves real, practical support.

Tina has been a consistent and compassionate warrior for dance and dancers

"I've known Tina in her many roles as, business owner, teacher, mentor, and advocate for the development and implementation of improved child safe practices in dance for almost 10 years. During that time Tina has been a consistent and compassionate warrior for dance and dancers, ever seeking to collaborate, and when required drive, the conversation of how our industry can improve the physical and mental health outcomes of those young dancers in our care."

Relations & Development Director MDM

What truly sets Tina apart is her proactive and tireless advocacy for child safety

Tina Sparks has been a cherished member of the Australian Dance Festival community since 2009. I was instantly drawn to her humour, positive psychology, and willingness to contribute in any capacity. Having attended as a boothholder, studio owner, and judge, she has always been a core part of our event. What truly sets Tina apart is her proactive and tireless advocacy for child safety, challenging accepted industry norms to ensure the well-being of every dancer. Her dedication is both inspiring and deeply valued.

~Angela Lau - Director of Australian Dance Festival

Tina’s depth of knowledge and genuine passion for helping others shone through every moment.

Tina's live training with our Mastermind cohort was nothing short of exceptional. Her session on empowering the dance community through positive psychology was engaging, insightful, and incredibly practical. Tina was so generous in sharing invaluable information, equipping our studio owners with recommendations, resources, and guidance they could immediately take back to support their teachers. I can’t wait to see what she does next  she’s an absolute asset to the dance industry.

Frequently Asked Questions

Hey, I'm Tina

Dance Educator, Positive Psychology Practitioner, Studio Owner, Mum, Wife & Passionate about helping dance educators thrive without burnout.

After over a decade in the studio world, I know exactly what it feels like to give your all to your students while quietly running on empty. I’ve been the teacher holding it all together, and the studio owner trying to do everything - from lesson planning to leadership to late-night admin.

I created the Thriving Educator Academy because I believe dance teachers deserve more support - not just in technique or choreography, but in cultivating strong, healthy student mindsets and a studio culture that feels good for everyone.

This work lights me up. I’m here to give you the tools, the strategies, and the community I wish I had earlier - so you can lead with confidence, support your dancers deeply, and still have energy left for your life too.
